Matteo Guidicelli Shares Why He Choose Silence Over Speaking Up to ABS-CBN Issue
Kapamilya actor Matteo Guidicelli shares a post on his Instagram the reason why he chooses to be silent than speaking up on the ABS-CBN issue.
Kapamilya actor Matteo Guidicelli will choose to keep quiet if what he says is not good. This is the clear answer on his latest Instagram stories in the midst of an appeal that ABS-CBN stars should speak and stand together for their home network.
Matteo seemed to give his answer to this call through this quote card. Matteo shared a popular Arabian proverb in his Instagram Stories this Wednesday morning, July 22.
Following Angel Locsin’s statement on the noise barrage saying “Mga kapwa kong artista na hindi nagsasalita, tatahimik pa ba kayo? Wala na kayong network!” which she points out other celebrities who become silent and neutral on the situation.

As a result, some Kapamilya stars, who reacted sparingly to ABS-CBN’s plight suddenly posted support for their home network. Among them is singer-actress Sarah Geronimo, Matteo’s wife.
In Sarah’s Instagram post the next day, July 19, she stressed her deep gratitude to ABS-CBN. Although Viva Entertainment manages Sarah’s career, the Kapamilya network made the singer-actress famous.
“I love my ABS-CBN family,” part of Sarah’s post. “I value every employee who is deeply saddened today because of unemployment. “I join their appeal to return to work to continue to provide services for their families and the country.”
Based on the report of PEP, many suspect that Sarah was one of Angel’s targets in her speech. But Angel immediately denied it, without actually mentioning the name when speaking at the noise barrage.
Along with Sarah, Matteo also posted on Instagram a photo of a lit candle. It is said to be for the thousands who lost their jobs in the network.
Matteo caption: “We lit a candle last night. Took a moment and prayed for each and every employee some of which are close to my heart from the years we spent together. “Hold on tight, we will rise again.”
Despite this, there are still netizens who are not satisfied with what the actor did. He still receives bashing from netizens. This was probably the reason why Matteo posted the Arabian proverb about silence instead of speaking.
In the question, if Matteo is a Kapamilya or DSS, as some netizens see, Matteo’s reaction to shutting down ABS-CBN is really limited. It is said that the actor is stuck in being a Kapamilya and being a government worker.
As a matter of fact, the bashers called Matteo “DDS” and “enabler” of President Rodrigo Duterte. The bashers claim that as the NYC ambassador and military personnel, Matteo is said to be the enabler of Duterte’s alleged directives.
