Getting viral online is the edited profile of Leonor Briones on Wikipedia.

LEONOR BRIONES – Wikipedie profile of Secretary of Education in charge of the Department of Education Leonor Briones is circulating online.

Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones is Professor Emeritus of the University of the Philippines-National College of Public Administration and Governance (UP-NCPAG) and has spent most of her life teaching. She is currently the Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary since 2016.

And just recently, her decision not to freeze classes and make youth go to school in a limited face-to-face set up in areas with lower risk is being criticized online. This is because of pandemic and going out might put the students in real danger and threats of being infected.

Now, currently circulating online is her edited profile in Wikipedia. Some screenshots are getting viral where some information about her got altered as per post from Facebook.

One impressive credential of the DepEd secretary is that she’s been a resource person in numerous national, regional, and international meetings and fora and has been juggling her works such as distinguished academic and teacher, public official, and social activist.

Before her appointment in her current position, she was Chair of the Silliman University Board of Trustees, and Regent and Chair-Designate of the Universidad de Manila. At 17 years old, she graduated Bachelor in Business Administration, major in Accounting, magna cum laude from Silliman University.

She had her Master’s in Public Administration, major in Local Government and Fiscal Administration, Dean’s List from the University of the Philippines and Post Graduate Diploma in Development Administration, major in Public Enterprises, With Distinction from Leeds University England.
