Techy Friends Develop Delivery App to Help Small Businesses in Baguio Amid Crisis
TECHY FRIENDS- Experts in technology in Baguio City developed a delivery application for small eateries and businesses to help them earn amid crisis.
Friends in this city decided to develop a food delivery app aimed at helping small businesses who lose revenue during the quarantine. Clifford Gonzales and Maui Fernando developed “When in Baguio Eats” to help the small restaurants recover from the current lockdown.

They said that their commission on food businesses is much lower than other food delivery app. Their application only deducts 10 percent compared to other delivery apps which are said to be 30 percent, based on the report of ABS-CBN News.
People who benefit from their application were street vendors, taxi drivers, and even small eateries. One of its users is the food business of Jahmela Benitez, who was then based at Saint Louis University.
Fernandez and Gonzales also plan to include pasalubong products and artworks of local artists who lost their livelihoods due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic in their application.
