Gladys Reyes & Husband Christopher Roxas Promotes Opening of Business Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
GLADYS REYES – Celebrity couple Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas promoted the opening of their catering business amid COVID-19 pandemic.
Celebrity couple Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas first met in their early teens on the set of the drama series “Mara Clara.” The show was one of the country’s longest-running tv show.
After 7 years of dating, Gladys and Christopher got married in 2004. They celebrated their sixteenth anniversary as a couple last January.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas (whose real name is Jean-Christophe Sommereux) promoted the opening of their own catering business. They launched their catering business before the start of the “enhanced community quarantine.”
In an Instagram video, the actor shared that he was born in France. He said his parents were both working as hoteliers. He said his mom and dad influenced his passion for food.

Christopher Roxas shared that he has worked in the food industry in France and Japan. After he was able to gain experience, he returned to the Philippines to study culinary arts.
“Then nag-put up ako ng restaurant una sa Laguna but at that time parang hindi pa naman ako ready. I stopped then nagtayo pa rin ako tapos hindi pa rin. Tapos ngayon, we had the chance na magtayo ng restaurant kami again, yung Estela and from there, parang naisip ko, parang lahat ng support group ko is from South. Nalalayuan sila because of the traffic and stuff like that. So I was thinking, ‘Kung di nila matikman yung food ko, dapat dalhin ko sa kanila yung food ko.’ So dun ko naisip mag-catering at dun nag-start at Sommeroux,” said Christopher.
Gladys Reyes said her husband is really passionate about food. She said she’s the one in charge of other aspects of their catering business.
