Singer and actress Sheryl Cruz denied she has an unpaid debt.
SHERYL CRUZ – Filipina actress Sheryl Cruz has this statement as she broke her silence regarding the amount she accordingly did not pay.
In a previous article, a certain “Alex” went to the show of the veteran broadcaster Raffy Tulfo to complain about singer and actress Sheryl Cruz who accordingly has an unpaid debt. Reportedly, the actress borrowed a certain amount from her which reached Php 100,000.00 during the last election because an anonymous sponsor stopped funding the campaign.
The complainant said that the actress ran away from her debt and this has ignited criticisms against Cruz from the people of the online community. Frustrated over the accusation, Cruz wrote in a statement, “Character Assassination is a deliberate and sustained effort to damage the reputation or credibility of an individual.”
Now, finally addressing the issue directly, the actress denied that she borrowed the said amount from “Alex”. She said, “The money she may have caused to be paid for the dance projects and the salaries of the staff are from the campaign funds and not from her own pocket.”
She also expressed her sadness as the issue was taken in a program that have become a “pseudo court” which acted like a lawyer, judge, and a court without hearing her side before they aired their episode. In her statement, she shared that an unknown number called her and it was the program. However, it was already airing and they expect her to air her side on the spot.
“I prefer to explain myself before the court if need be because my conscience is clear and truth and fairness will protect me,” she said.
