PAGASA – Here are the latest updates from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) this July 21, 2020.

The latest update from the state weather bureau says that a low pressure area was last spotted at about 80 kilometers east southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

According to GMA News, it is embedded in the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), and is affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on this day.

The two weather systems will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Bicol Region, and MIMAROPA.

The bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

The ITCZ, as well as localized thunderstorms, will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Again, the bureau warned that flash floods or landslides may occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

Based on the report, for the wind speed forecast, Luzon and Visayas will have light to moderate winds that are moving in the northeast to east direction while facing slight to moderate coastal waters.

Mindanao will have light winds that are moving in the southeast to various directions while facing slight coastal waters.

The sun has risen at about 5:37 AM and is expected to set at 6:28 PM.
