Senator Gordon, Wife, 2 Others Under Quarantine As Staff Contracts COVID-19
GORDON UNDER QUARANTINE – Ten staff members of Senator Richard Gordon’s household tested positive for the new coronavirus, COVID-19.
As a result, Gordon, his wife, and two other personnel were placed in quarantine. Gordon posted a statement in his official Facebook Page saying:
In the latest round of routine testing, ten of my immediate staff tested POSITIVE for COVID-19. Upon receipt of the results, they immediately went into quarantine.
Following this, contact tracing operations were immediately done for the COVID-positive staff. Gordon also stated that he is sharing the information to the public to be transparent so potentially infected individuals may be attended to.

The Senator continued saying:
As I am exposed to my staff and to the public on a daily basis, I also had myself tested for the virus upon learning of these latest results. My wife, Kate, and our two household staff were tested as well. All our results came back NEGATIVE. Nonetheless, we will be on self-imposed isolation at home in order to ensure the safety and well-being of anyone with whom we will interact with in the future.
Furthermore, Gordon urged the public to continue upholding social distancing practices and proper health protocols. Finally, he emphasized that people should remain home unless there is an important emergency to attend to.
