Several days after ABS-CBN has officially shut down, Sharon Cuneta has finally broken her silence.
SHARON CUNETA – Megastar Sharon Cuneta breaking her silence has this shady comments about certain senator’s controversial remark.
June 10 was the day when the biggest media company in the Philippines, ABS-CBN, has shut down. This was made official by 70 lawmakers who junked their franchise renewal application despite proving that the company has violated no single law.
After being denied, the Megastar Sharon Cuneta, who is known to be close to the president, remained silent for several days about this and just recently, she finally spoke up and posted her sadness and litanies about this on Twitter.
Accordingly, it took a while before she was able to muster up her emotions about the shut down of her network because if she has done it earlier, she would just break down. In her post, she lamented about injustice and the fate of the over 11,000 employees of the company who lost their job in a snap.
She is breaking as to how easily these lawmakers have shut down a company that offers nothing but employment, entertainment, and real time news. This all happened amid a major health crisis. She also lambasted a senator’s remark about how it was easy for him to say to find new job when in reality, the pandemic has made it difficult for them to hunt for new one.
The Megastar wrote, “May isang Senador na nagsabing maghanap na lang daw ng bagong trabaho ang 11,000 mahigit na empleyadong may mga pamilyang apektado ng pagkawala ng hanapbuhay na ito, gayong may mga 16 million na yatang Pilipino ang nawalan ng trabaho at maraming negosyo na ang napilitang magsara sanhi ng COVID-19. Saan at paano hahanap ng trabaho?”
She also expressed how proud she is to be able to make it under the management of their CEO and President Carlo Katigbak. He’s been nothing but a kind, gentle, and humble boss to her. She told him of not leaving “his ship” in this difficult time and so, she did. She remained loyal.
