San Juan City Offers Cash to COVID-19 Infected Residents if Agreed to be Admitted at Quarantine Facilities
SAN JUAN CITY – Local government offers P3,000 cash and other incentives to COVID-19 positive residents if they agreed to be admitted as the city’s quarantine facilities
San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said Wednesday, they will give P3,000 cash plus incentives to residents who tested positive with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) to comply to be admitted in the quarantine facilities.
Zamora will encourage them to transfer to the city’s quarantine facilities upon assessment. He added that the admitted patients will have a solo room and comfort room exclusive for them.
“We have 198 active #COVID19 cases. We will encourage them to transfer to the (quarantine) facilities unless upon assessment, meron silang kwarto na solo, banyo na sila lang gumagamit,” San Juan Mayor said.

According to the report of ABS-CBN News, Zamora is still waiting for the official directive to fetch the positive residents in their homes. He warned residents who are positive to voluntarily surrender and encourage concern residents to report them immediately.
“Wala pa ako natatanggap, hinihintay ko lang official directive. Para sakin di na tayo dapat umabot sa puntong kakatukin at hahanapin pa. Dapat tayo mismo, ireport natin agad, bagay na hindi dapat itago,” he said.
He also said that being positive with COVID19 should not be kept. Because can cause spreading the virus. Zamora assures patients will not be abandoned, won’t pay anything, this includes free meals, wifi, and P3,000 for your family
“Hindi dapat itago na (#COVID19) positibo. Kasi nagiging katumbas nyan kakalat lalo ang virus. Sa San Juan, di po kayo pababayaaan, wala ho kayong babayaran, libre meals, may wifi, may P3,000 pa para sa inyong pamilya,” the Mayor said.
He further said that If ever there are people from other cities who need medical attention, the city’s facilities are open for other citizens, adding that the local government cannot deny their assistance.
Zamora assures San Juan facilities and hospitals are ready and available for COVID-19 patients. It is still at around 50%, in case the positive patient rises, if surpass the limit, Cardinal Santos and other neighboring hospitals can help.
