Harry Roque Says ‘I am Kapamilya’, Here’s The Story Behind

‘I am Kapamilya,” Harry Roque said.

Here’s the story behind the statement “I am Kapamilya “of Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

Supporters of ABS-CBN or the Kapamilya network have been criticizing the administration regarding the franchise issue. It is known to many that President Rodrigo Duterte has aired his sentiments against the TV giant even before the House hearing has commenced.

Criticisms continued to rain over the administration after the Congress decided to junk to the franchise application of ABS-CBN. However, Roque denied and insisted that Duterte’s triumphant statement against the oligarchs included the Lopezes.

Apparently, the Presidential Spokesperson also faced his fair share of criticisms. Based on the article from ABS-CBN News, Harry Roque was criticized after he told ABS-CBN supporters to “move on.”

Following the flak on his statement, he said, ‘I am Kapamilya’. “I did say ‘move on’ but I did say also that I feel for ABS-CBN because I’m one of you. I’m Kapamilya,” he said in an interview with ANC.

He added that he owes to the Kapamilya network who he is now. “It pains me that you don’t have a franchise. I will not be the ‘Pambansang Laway’ now if not because of ABS-CBN and I thank ABS-CBN,” the Presidential Spokesperson added.

In a report of ANC on July 13, Harry Roque admitted that the denial of ABS-CBN franchise application left a void and that it has affected the dissemination of news and information to the public. However, he stressed that there is nothing else to do but to move on as this went through the process of the Congress.

“Miski po tayo manghinayang, eh tapos na po ang boxing noh,” he said.
