Isko Moreno Ordered The Jailing Of ‘Irresponsible Parents’

ISKO MORENO – Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno recently said that irresponsible Manileño parents are to be sent in jail soon.

According to Inquirer, Moreno said this as he cited that there have been many minors that were recently apprehended for violating quarantine protocol.

“Let’s start jailing irresponsible parents. I don’t mind kung mapuno ang ating mga kulungan ng mga pabayang magulang dahil sa paglabag sa Ordinance No. 8243,”

“Hard time requires hard decision para mapigilan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19,”

He also noted that among the 10,000 residents who have been nabbed for violating protocol such as wearing face masks in public and curfew were mostly minors.

Among them were 1,039 for not wearing face masks and 9,367 more for violating curfew hours.

Based on the report, Moreno also added that 1,028 street dwellers have also been rescued. This was based from he Manila Department of Social Welfare (Manila DSWD). The report also stated that some of them were tested positive.

He added that he ordered the Manila Police District, as well as DSWD to begin filing cases against irresponsible parents, further urging the parents to be responsible.
