Commissioner Voted Against Masks, Caught COVID-19, Now Critical

COMMISSIONER VOTED AGAINST MASKS – St. Johns County Commissioner Paul Waldron voted against the mandatory wearing of masks.

However, this may have backfired as the commissioner had recently caught the virus. In addition, his daughter posted on her Facebook page that Waldron is now in critical condition with COVID-19.

In the post, she stated that her father:

went into septic shock and has many organs struggling.

He is currently in the most critical of conditions, I ask you not to doubt the power of prayer.

According to an article from WTFFlorida, St. Johns Board of County Commissioners decided to settle the issue of whether masks should be mandated in the county. Furthermore, one of the motions would’ve mandated masks for county employees.

However, the motion had failed by a count of 3-2. Commissioner Paul Waldron, who represented District 3 that covers the southern half of St. Johns County, voted against this motion.

Currently, the United States has the highest number of coronavirus infections in the world. Florida has become one of the COVID-19 hotspots in the country with thousands of cases documented everyday.

Experts believe that this is mostly due to politicians and residents refusing to do the minimum required health protocol – wearing masks. Because of this, the virus has spiked in the US and had risen to over 3,291,786.

Of this number, more than 136,671 have succumbed to the deadly disease. Meanwhile, over 1,460,495 have recovered from the virus.
