GMA’s 24 Oras reported the statements from ABS-CBN executives

On a rare occasion, ABS-CBN executives appeared on the Kapuso news program 24 Oras following the decision of the House of Representatives to reject the franchise application of the TV giant.

The professional rivalry between the Kapamilya and Kapuso network has been existing since time immemorial. However, amid the trying time for all the people under the Kapamilya network due to its franchise renewal issue, those in the Kapuso network expressed sympathy.

For fairness in bringing the news to the public, veteran news personality Mel Tiangco, who formerly worked in the Kapamilya network, presented the statement from ABS-CBN President & CEO Carlo Katigbak and Chairman Mark Lopez.

The executives of the media company expressed sadness over the decision of the Congress but they thanked those who have been supporting them in their fight for their franchise.

It will be recalled that Tiangco had a past issue with the Kapamilya network. Reportedly, that was the time when she and former co-host Jay Sonza were still working together in the TV giant. The latter has been vocal about his criticisms against his former home network.

Meanwhile, based on the article from PEP, Kapamilya comedian-host Vice Ganda also appeared in a news report of GMA 7. Kapuso reporter Mariz Umali interviewed him.

“Hindi ko po alam ang sasabihin ko sa inyo, hindi ko po talaga alam. Para akong nanginginig na hindi ko alam. Basta…ang alam ko lang, malungkot nang malungkot ako ngayon. Mahalaga ito sa akin dahil buhay natin ito, e,” he said.
