Raffy Tulfo reacts to Janella Salvador striking post on social media regarding PA issue.
JANELLA SALVADOR – Veteran broadcaster Raffy Tulfo has this reaction about the striking post of Kapamilya actress Janella Salvador on Instagram.
Based on a previous article, Michelle Pelongco is the former personal assistant of Kapamilya actress Janella Salvador who went to complain in Raffy Tulfo In Action program about being unpaid. The actress firmly refused to pay the said unpaid amount which is why the host, Raffy Tulfo, paid more than what the PA has claimed for the actress to have not paid.
In her official statement, she’d rather give the “small amount” to someone who is more deserving and challenged her to sue her. The actress’ post implied that her former PA is just desperate to get money from her through her twisted stories.
And now, posting an article about the minimum wage of “kasambahays” which took effect on January 2020, the young actress seemingly implied that she’s actually compensating her more than what was stated in the law. Accordingly, the salary of a house helper, from Php 3,500.00 will climb to Php 5,000.00.
In an update regarding the issue, Tulfo called the PA and clarified if she’s a PA or a house helper and Pelongco confirmed that she’s the actress’ personal assistant before. Reaching out to Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Undersecretary, Atty. Anne Dione, the official gave light that about the salary of a personal assistant being different to that of a house helper.
Accordingly, a personal assistant must receive a minimum wage which is at Php 537.00 in a day with benefits and the 13th month pay. This is because they have different working conditions. Also, in the non-disclosure agreement signed by the PA, it was clearly stated in there that she is indeed working as a personal assistant of the actress.
