Couple Who Found Their Love in Quarantine Facility Planning to Live Together
A couple who found and developed their love while staying in the quarantine facility is now planning to get married and live together.
Amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who arrived from other countries need to undergo 14-day quarantine and COVID-19 testing to determine if you’re positive with the said virus. Same as other Filipinos who need to go back to their provinces.
Meanwhile, in Davao Occidental, a woman and a man met at a quarantine facility in Jose Abad Santos goes viral on social media. They are both LSI or locally stranded individuals in Davao.
Both arrived in their province on June 17 and because they were from another city, they had to undergo quarantine. They met while quarantined and they fell in love with each other.

Jiel Melda is 22 years old, while Mirasol Miguel is only 17 years old. However, their age did not impede their romance. According to guardians at the quarantine facility, the first days the two met would feel like a spark was coming.
To capture Mirasol’s heart, Jiel borrowed his brother’s guitar to sing the song of Juan Karlos Labajo’s “Buwan”. Soon they fell in love with each other. On July 2 they have released a quarantine facility.
The parents of the two had already met and they were supportive to their plan to get married. Because Mirasol is in the Manobo tribe, she can marry even though she is a minor.
