According to Time, the president of Brazil said that his lungs are “clean” and he would test for the virus once more. He, however, told his supporters that everything is fine as he arrived at the residential palace.

His presidential office said that the president was tested on Monday night at a hospital, adding that the results would be available on Tuesday. Bolsonaro is in good health condition, as of the moment.

He had a light fever and is taking hydroxychloroquine, which he has been betting on to fight against the virus. However, this medication is yet unproven to be effective against it.

Further more, on a Thursday broadcast in his social networks, he could be seen coughing when he sat next to six more people, all not wearing a mask.

Among the six included Regional Development Minister Rogerio Marinho and the chief executive officer of state-owned bank Caixa Economica Federal, Pedro Guimaraes.

Based on the report, ever since then, he has mingled with members of the administration and the general public, and even had lunch with the US ambassador to the nation on Saturday.

Ever since the start of the pandemic, the Brazil president had disregarded several recommendations from the World Health Organization and experts to avoid the spread of the virus like avoiding crowds, wearing face masks and observing social distancing protocol.

Brazil had 65,487 fatalities from the virus and more than 1.62 million total cases.
