Catriona Gray Wax Figure Release Delayed By COVID-19 Pandemic
CATRIONA GRAY WAX FIGURE – The release of the wax figure of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray was released due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to Abante News, Catriona herself said in her QnA video that the wax figure of her for Madame Tussauds might be revealed to the public by 2021.
She added that she hoped that the unveiling of the figure in Manila might be set this year but due to the pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), it has been delayed.
Catriona also discussed how the wax figure was being made.
“It’s insanely detailed they use all these types of equipment. They have this colonist specialist that takes pain and actually matches your skin tone with paint or paper.”
“They have all these different swatches of hair to get the exact color and tone, even a box of eyeballs that they match to your iris, same with teeth… it’s incredibly detailed. I think that’s the coolest part about it.”
Based on the report, Catriona is the second Filipina to have her own wax figure in Madame Tussauds. The first one was Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.
