Village Councilor Shot To Death In Sampaloc, Manila

VILLAGE COUNCILOR – A village councilor was recently shot to death by two unknown assailants in Sampaloc district in Manila.

According to Manila Bulletin, the victim was identified by police as Antonio Calma, Jr., aged 43 and a barangay official in Barangay 484 in the said district.

Calma was meeting with other officials at 10:30 PM when two unidentified assailants wearing hoodies and caps entered the barangay hall and shot him to death.

The assailants sped away on board a car, followed by what appears to be an SUV vehicle. Both vehicles do not have license plates.

Based on the report, retrieved from the suspects were fourteen bullet shells and a deformed bullet slug. The victim’s remains were turned over to Cruz Funeral Homes for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the police are currently probing further regarding the incident.
