Two Men In Marawi City Arrested For Making Illegal Dentures, Braces
TWO MEN IN MARAWI CITY – Two men involved in making illegal dentures and braces in barangay Basak Malutlut, Marawi City were nabbed.
According to ABS-CBN News, the National Bureau of Investigation identified the two suspects as the owner and assistant of the said factory of illegal dentures and braces.
The two were arrested after they measured and made dentures to a poseur-buyer.
The Philippine Dental Association Lanao del Sur Chapter primarily made a complaint regarding the suspects. The said operation was obviously seen despite warning fromm the police.
The authorities reported that many went there to have their dentures, braces, and retainers crafted since their services are cheaper compared to dentists.
However, the authorities warned that this might cause health complications and higher risks of getting infected with COVID-19.
“Yung paggawa ng ganyan pag nagkamali ka that may cause deformity sa ngipin mo sa mismong mukha mo mismo kasi pag natabingi yan, talagang matatabingi yang mukha mo,”
“Pangalawa pwede mo ikamatay through complications. Pangatlo ay yung issues ngayon na COVID. Before narinig natin yung gloves nirerecycle nila,”
Based on the report, the suspects will be charged for violating Philippine Dental Act.
