Jay Sonza revealed this about ABS-CBN TV Plus and SkyDirect
Former broadcast journalist Jay Sonza said that ABS-CBN TV Plus and SkyDirect are still in operation in the Mindanao region.
Sonza shared this revelation on his recent Facebook post after the National Telecommunications Commission issued a cease and desist order against the cable station and the digital television service.
On June 29, during the Congressional hearing on ABS-CBN franchise, NTC committed to stop the operations of the aforementioned affiliates of the Kapamilya network.
Then, the order came and TV giant had to follow and stop its operations. After this, Kapamilya stars expressed sadness on the fact that even the slightest hope they have was totally crushed.
Amid the franchise issue being heard in Congress, some shows of the Kapamilya network already resumed shooting such as Ang Probinsyano and Love Thy Woman. Its noontime variety show, It’s Showtime, also resumed the live episodes.

On the other hand, based on the recent FB post of Jay Sonza, ABS-CBN did not totally follow this order from NTC.
He said that TV Plus and SkyDirect are still operating in Mindanao even after the cease and desist order was issued.
“Patuloy na binabastos at ginagago ng abs cbn broadcasting corporation at pamilya Lopez ang NTC at Kongreso ng Republika. Tuloy-tuloy ang broadcast ng SkyDirect at TVplus sa Mindanao hanggang ngayon gamit ang Satellite Uplink at STL ng Channel 2,” the former broadcast journalist said.
Because of this post of Sonza, several netizens also slammed ABS-CBN. Some said that in their areas, TV Plus is still operating. Here are some of the comments.
