Here’s what Iwa Moto posted as a plea to the government
Actress Iwa Moto called out to the government to give attention to the issues raised by consumers against Meralco and not just focusing on the ABS-CBN franchise issue.
Several celebrities have already spoken their views about the ABS-CBN franchise issue. It is a given fact that Kapamilya stars have been defending their home network in every possible way they can. However, this issue regarding the franchise renewal of the TV giant has become a national issue that is very much talked about.
On the other hand, there are also personalities from the other networks or media entities who expressed support to ABS-CBN as they continue to fight for the franchise renewal.
However, the recent order of the National Telecommunications Commission against the network even saddened the talents, employees, and executives. Even TV Plus and the SKY Direct were ordered to stop their operations.
Even though Iwa Moto is not from the Kapamilya network, she called out the attention of the government regarding the franchise issue. “Dear government, kesa ABS-CBN hinahabol nyo at pinag iinitan, try nyo kayang silipin and Meralco?” she said.
During the quarantine, several consumers of the electric company complained about receiving bills with a higher amount than they usually had. Even Senate President Tito Sotto took a swipe at Meralco regarding this. He compared the electric company to San Miguel Corporation that chose to extend help to the less fortunate amid pandemic despite losses.
Apparently, Iwa also has the same predicament. In her recent Instagram post, she said that many consumers are already complaining about this.
“A friend of ours also told us their story.. naka lockdown sila and di operational yung business nila pero ang bill imabot ng 200k. San galing yun?” the actress said.
What can you say about this?
