LAPU-LAPU CITY – Lots of infectious wastes found scattered in a vacant private lot drew fret from the residents of the area.
Based on the report of ABS-CBN, infectious wastes such as used syringes, EDTA tube with a blood sample, and used tools for rapid testing were discovered on the vacant lot.
Officials in Barangay Pajo immediately visited the area after they received a report that there was a large amount of infectious waste scattered on a vacant lot.

According to the barangay chairman, the vacant lot where contagious materials are thrown was privately owned. The property guard report to the officials because he was worried about the possible diseases that could be caused by infectious wastes.
The officials found rapid tests, HIV, and syphilis on the wastes. The local government will investigate the disposal of waste.
They will also check to see if there are CCTVs in the area to facilitate their investigation. Because rapid test kits have been detected in the area, it is also possible to determine if there are any COVID-19 test kits.
Infectious waste is located far away from the residents’ homes. The City Environment and Natural Resources office is set to dispose of infectious waste in a safe place. The village has already locked the area to barred residents from entering the lot.
