Health officials have studied the possibility of COVID-19 being present in places other than the lungs. Previously, tests revealed that COVID-19 may be present in the semen or even in breast milk.

However, due to the fact that both parents were negative for the virus, officials now wonder how the triplets got infected. As such, the officials said they requested a group of experts to investigate the situation.

Based on the report, the babies were born on June 17 and are currently in good health with no symptoms of COVID-19. Meanwhile, the third triplet was reported to have pneumonia but is in stable condition.

Currently, Mexico has reported around 190,000 cases of COVID-19. Along with this, their were 23,377 fatalities caused by the virus. With this, Mexico has become the country with the 7th – highest in coronavirus related deaths.
