Clash In Jovellar Town, Albay Left With Policeman Dead
CLASH IN JOVELLAR TOWN – An encounter which occurred in Jovellar town in Albay has left with one policeman dead and three others wounded.

According to PhilStar, Jovellar municipal police chief Captain Millard Bongalon identified the dead policeman as Patrolman Emerson Belmonte.
The three wounded were identified as Corporal Marlon Beltran, Patrolmen Roy Resurrection and John Mark Paz.
The encounter between the policemen and suspected New People’s Army (NPA) rebels occurred in Barangay San Isidro in the said town at about 5:20 AM.
Based on the report, meanwhile in Sorsogon on Tuesday, June 23, Ian Estrellado, an NPA rebel, was slain in a rumored gunfight with cops who were serving an arrest warrant in Barangay San Bernardo in the municipality of Bulusan.
