Bacolod Residents Caught Violating Health Protocols During Feast of San Juan

BACOLOD CITY, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – Several Bacolod residents have been caught swimming amid the restriction of “basaan” during the feast of San Juan.

On June 24, 2020, a lot of our countrymen celebrated the feast of St. John the Baptist but most of them observed precautionary measures as ordered by the government amid the health crisis in the country.

However, there are still some hard-headed people who continue to violate the health protocols amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Recently, the Facebook page of Adrian Prietos has shared the situation of the residents of Brgy 35, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental during the celebration of the feast of St. John the Baptist. The photos garnered various reactions from the online community.

In the photos, it can be seen that some residents go swimming and splashing water along the street. However, the government prohibits swimming and the dousing of water in accordance with the physical distancing measure to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease.
