Duterte Tells Public “Pag Tinamaan Ka, Sorry”, Says Danger Is Still There
DUTERTE – During his address aired on Monday, President Rodrigo Duterte told the public “Pag Tinamaan Ka, Sorry”.
The Philippines continued to have a rising trend in the number of daily coronavirus cases. Yet, quarantine restrictions have been eased for the sake of the economy. Thus, Duterte urged the public to get used to the “new normal” amid the coronavirus epidemic in the country.

Furthermore, he asked the public to exercise health standards such as wearing face masks, hand washing, and maintaining social distancing. According to an article from ABS-CBN, Duterte said:
Hindi naman warning, kundi pakiusap sa inyo, na sanayin natin ‘yung buhay ngayon, new… bago na talaga ang pamumuhay. Ang diskarte, maglakad, maggalaw, social distancing, hugas kamay, mask. Tapos kung maaari, limit mo ‘yung labas mo.
(It’s not a warning but a plea, that we should all get used to this new life…our lives have really changed. The trick is to walk, move, social distancing, washing hands, and wearing masks. Also, if possible, we should limit going outside.)
Additionally, he said that even though the restrictions were lifted, people should understand that the COVID-19 danger is still present. As per the article, Duterte stated:
Ilang beses na ‘yung warning eh, nakakainis na. But really, the danger is there. It’s up to you to decide. ‘Pag tinamaan ka, sorry.
(You have been warned several times, it’s becoming irritating. But really, the danger is there. It is up to you to decide. If you catch it (COVID-19) virus, sorry).
