Coronavirus Cases Within PNP Rises To 456 With 884 More Suspected

CORONAVIRUS CASES IN PNP – The Philippine National Police reported an additional six cases of the coronavirus was reported bringing the total to 456.

Being frontliners themselves, the PNP also has a high risk of exposure to the new coronavirus, COVID-19. With the rise in cases, some experts fear that this may cause an increase in the number of cases within the jail systems. As such, mass testing is more than ever, being pushed.

Currently, the number of COVID-19 related deaths in the PNP has remained at seven. Meanwhile, the number of recovered coronavirus patients in the PNP had risen to 276 with 5 new recoveries.

The Philippines’ police force also documented 673 probable coronavirus cases and 884 more suspected patients. In a Facebook post, the PNP stated:

As of 6:00PM of June 19, 2020, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the PNP organization rises to 456 with seven (7) deaths and 276 recoveries.

Meanwhile, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the Philippines had reached over 28,459. Of that number, 7,378 have recovered while 1,130 sadly succumbed to the deadly disease.

Everyday, more and more government bodies of the government reported coronavirus cases from within their workforce. Previously, the Department of Justice also recorded a rising number of cases. Along with this, maintenance workers of the MRT-3 also tested positive for the disease.
