In a Facebook post of Philippine Star, a father has earned various reactions from the online community after he shares about his graduation gift to the son. It found out that Edwin Bayson, the father, had collected the coins to buy his son’s new cellphone.
According to the Philippine Star post, Edwin joked that he stopped drinking a few bottles of liquor, only to collect coins and save it for the present for his son.
His son Derwin completed a 2-year course but the graduation rites were postponed to October because of the COVID-19 threat. Edwin was a former delivery truck agent before the public health crisis.
But because of the pandemic, it is temporarily stopped and now he used to be a tricycle driver so he can still earn for family needs. Many admire Daddy Edwin’s kindness despite difficult circumstances, he is still able to surprise his children with the love he has for them.
