Vhong Navarro expressed thoughts about Eat Bulaga’s first live show after lockdown
It’s Showtime host Vhong Navarro reacted to the new normal measure that rival Eat Bulaga has done for its first live show after the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Live shows in studios were temporary stopped as the cases of coronavirus in the Philippines spiked. Because of that, old episodes, or shows were shown for networks to continue airing without disrupting the timeslot of programs.
Last Monday, Eat Bulaga has already resumed their live show but with the observation of the new normal protocols. On the other hand, It’s Showtime hosts have been teasing the viewers of their upcoming return on-air through cable and satellite TV, since ABS-CBN is still following the cease and desist order from the National Telecommunications Commission.

In line with the return of Eat Bulaga’s live show, Vhong Navarro shared his reaction to their rival show, based on the article from the Philippine Star. He admitted during a teleconference this week that he watched their rival show.
“Ngayon, ang sinasabing kompetisyon, parang wala nang kompetisyon kasi sa nakikita ko, ang lahat ngayon ang gusto lang magpasaya. Nakikita ko ‘yung ‘Eat Bulaga,’ nasilip ko sila nung isang araw, tina-try talaga nilang magpasaya kahit kulang-kulang sila,” the It’s Showtime host shared.
He added that It’s Showtime will also provide laughter and entertainment despite that they are not yet in full force. “Kumbaga, tulong-tulong ang ‘Eat Bulaga’ at ‘Showtime’ na magpasaya ng tao dahil alam nilang kailangang-kailangan nilang makalimot pansamantala sa mga problema nila at magbigay papremyo para makatulong sa mga nawalan ng trabaho,” Vhong said.
The TV host also shared that they are observing the new normal also when it comes to conducting their live show. On the other hand, he expressed sadness that they lost their free TV platform due to the franchise issue that ABS-CBN is facing right now.
In a previous report, Vhong Navarro is also saddened by the fact that some Kapamilya shows will no longer be back on air. With the pandemic, the TV host shared that he has learned to appreciate her job more.
