GAY GROUP – Generous gay group help pack COVID-19 relief goods for the residents of Columbio, Sultan Kudarat.
The 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has affected our lives. Some suffered from panic attacks, depression, high blood pressure, and heart disease.
People have their own ways to cope up during the crisis. They try to discover new things, learning new skills, find new hobbies, or avoid social media to protect their mental health.
Some people focus on helping families who are greatly affected by the pandemic. Celebrities launched charity drives to help fund the needs of their countrymen.
Last April, a group of gays in Leyte launched a relief drive to provide relief goods for their town mates. Their relief packs contain face masks, toiletries, food, and grocery items.
Another generous gay group caught the attention of the netizens. Members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community voluntarily help in repacking the relief goods for the residents of Columbio, Sultan Kudarat.
Aside from their good deeds, their photos wearing fashionable outfits while carrying sacks of rice and box of dried fish brought good vibes to the netizens. Their viral photos were uploaded on ABS-CBN’s Facebook Page.
A volunteer named Britney Sujede said they decided to wear heels and glamorous outfits so they won’t get bored while repacking the goods. “Hindi lang kami basta bakla lang, dahil kami ay may maiaambag din sa komunidad,” he added.
