Resident Shoots Arrogant Man After Picking Fight With Him
An arrogant man who is challenging his neighbors for a fight has been shot by his fellow residents in Paningayan, Madalag.
Madalag PNP reported that the 31-year-old suspect identified as Mandy Tupaz shouted ‘ilabas’ means “lunch” but the 43-year-old Joemarie Navarra victim responded in a disrespectful manner.
The two had an exchange of heated arguments due to the incident. The victim took two machetes and returned to fight Tupaz. The suspect is already carrying a homemade shotgun when Navarra arrived.
Mandy suddenly shoots Navarra’s knees and took his machetes away and turned over it to a barangay tanod named Benedicto Burunga. The victim was rushed to a health center in Madalag for immediate treatment.
Tupaz has also surrendered his homemade shot gun or “sumpak” to chief tanod Ricardo Nacionales. Meanwhile, Navarra has been transferred to provincial hospital while the suspect us under the custody of Madalag PNP.
The police authorities also discovered that the two had a dispute, which might be the reason why the suspect shot the victim.
