OWWA Deputy Administrator Mocha Uson received bashing due to her post tagging the UP protesters “terrorists”.

In line with the Anti-terror Bill that the Senate approved and is just waiting for the signature of President Rodrigo Duterte, Senate President Tito Sotto tweeted against those who are tagging “activism” as “terrorism”.

His tweet was retweeted by the Uson with the caption: “Hahahaha galit na galit na mga terorista nagtipon tipon na sila.” Apparently, the OWWA official was talking about the protesters who gathered at the University of the Philippines on June 4.

The protesters were urging the government to “junk the terror bill” . Because of what Uson posted against them, she received criticisms online. Her name is one of the top Twitter trends on June 5 because of this. Screenshot of her tweet calling UP protesters “terorista” circulated.

However, the said post of Mocha Uson was already deleted in her account. Here are some of the negative comments that the OWWA Deputy Administrator received.

Meanwhile, the appointed government official also received bashing amid the community quarantine due to her alleged violation of protocol. This was the time when she attended a gathering of OFWs. The mass gathering is prohibited under enhanced community quarantine.

Mocha Uson was also bashed when she shared a post wherein she claimed that the donated PPEs to the Department of Health DOH) was bought. The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) summoned her for “fake news” complaints.

Due to this, on May 18, she presented herself at the NBI for the investigation regarding the complaints against her as what stated in Bayanihan Act.
