AirAsia: International Flights Likely To Resume In July

AIRASIA – AirAsia Philippines recently announced that they will resume international flight operations by next month July.

According to a report from ABS-CBN News, the airlines said that their current operations are more fixated on the gradual resumption of domestic flights with their first flight from Manila to Cagayan De Oro to start in Friday.

This is from the airlines’ head of Communications David de Castro who also said this:

“Among all the other airlines na nakabalik na tayo sa ere today at buhay na muli ang ating local aviation industry. Slowly po but surely dadami po ang ating flight,”

Public transport is also allowed to operate but with a limited capacity under GCQ or general community quarantine. which began on June 1 in the capital and other urban centers.

As per the report, the capital was under lockdown for 11 weeks, which is by far, one of the world’s global COVID-19 lockdown.

De Castro added that leisure trips are still not allowed. Essential travelers are asked to present a travel pass and medical certificate from their municipal health office as ordered by the nation’s coronavirus task force.

The airlines also strengthen its self-check in capabilities to limit human contact where passengers can check-in online and scan their QR code in booths without having to touch the machine.
