Wendell Ramos was asked about the most pressing issue now in showbiz
Shining Inheritance actor Wendell Ramos said that he can’t comment anything on the issue of harassment in the entertainment industry.
Wendell has been in showbiz for many years already. Over the years, he has done different genres. He was featured in drama series and was part of the gag show Bubble Gang.
Wendell is part of the new Kapuso series which featured Coney Reyes, Kyline Alcantara, Kate Valdez, Paul Salas, Michael Sager, Aubrey Miles, Roxie Smith, Caruth, and Seth dela Cruz.
During the recent press presentation, based on the article in PEP, Wendell Ramos was asked if the dynamics between the cast and the production team changed after the recent harassment issue. The closeness between the artists and those behind the scenes in Shining Inheritance is really visible.
It is known to many that the revelation made by Sparkle artist Sandro Muhlach created a loud buzz in show business.
Wendell said that the issue did not affect them. “Wala naman. Kasi our director, ano, di ba? Si Direk Jorron na sinabi niya kanina na almost a year na kami magkasama. Pamilya na,” he said.
The actor added people know what is happening and there is always a negative side. He pointed out that this happened in every life and not just in showbiz but in other industries as well.
“I don’t know… hindi ako makapag-comment kung normal ba nangyayari. Pero regarding on the issue right now, no comment talaga dun,” Wendell Ramos said.
Previously, veteran director Joel Lamangan was asked about the showbiz harassment issue and he bravely said that this has long been happening in the industry and some artists are using this for their advantage. This was slammed by actor Ahron Villena who allegedly suffered “harassment” from Direk Joel.
When actor Albie Casino was asked about the issue, he said that, speaking for himself only, he did not experienced being harassed.
