Shooting Incident In Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur Left With 2 Dead
MARGOSATUBIG – A shooting incident which occurred in Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur, has left with two fatalities and one kid wounded.
According to GMA News, the local police identified the fatalities as Jose Canoy Cabatcha, aged 42 and his live-in partner Naima Bacalso Zulueta.
Naima’s son, identified as Nadjar Bacalso Zulueta, 5 years of age, was wounded during ther incident.
Initial investigation shows that they were insid their residence at Purok Gumamela in Barangay Igat Island. Two unidentified assailants barged in and shot them using a caliber .45 pistol and caliber .30, which were retreived at the crime scene.
Based on the report, the fisherman was found lifeless while his live-in partner was decared dead on arrival at the hospital after she sustained a gunshot wound on the right part of her bottom.
As for Nadjar, he received a gunshot wound on his left leg and is currently being treated at the hospital.
The assailants escaped via a motor boat to Malangas in Zamboanga Sibugay. The cops are currently conducting further probe on the incident.
