Most Wanted Person In Leyte Province Arrested By Police
LEYTE PROVINCE – The most wanted suspect in Leyte province was recently arrested via a joint police operation on Wednesday morning.
The suspect, identified as Ben Junia, aged 40 and a laborer, was arrested at his residence at Barangay San Roque, Tolosa town in the province via a warant of arrest issued on March 10, 2020.
Junia was arrested for harassment and lascivious conduct under Republic Act (RA) 7610 or also known as the Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act,
The arrest was conducted by operating units from the following factions:
- Tolosa Municipal Police Station led by Captain Bernardo Arcena,
- Provincial Intelligence Unit-Leyte headed by Lieutenant Colonel Demosthenes Magnaan,
- PIT Leyte, RIU-8 led by Lieutenant Rolan Maceda
- Naval Forces Central
- Central Command in Cebu City
As per the report, Junia was taken to the Tolosa Municipal Police Station for documentation before he will be turned over to the court of origin.
