Roque Names Areas Under GCQ and MGCQ from June 1 to June 15
ROQUE – Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced the areas that will be under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) and Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) from June 1 to June 15.
Quarantine measures are still up in the Philippines and it will continue until next month. The fight against the spread of COVID-19 in the country is not yet over.
Recently, the Department of Health (DOH) confirmed 1,046 new cases of the said coronavirus disease. It brings the total cases recorded in the country to 16,634.
With regards to the death toll, there is now a total of 942 deaths recorded in the Philippines due to coronavirus. On the positive side, the total recoveries is at 3,720 now.
Currently, Metro Manila, Laguna province, and Cebu City are under a Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) while most parts of the country are under a GCQ. The said measures are set to expire tomorrow, May 31.
Recently, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced the new quarantine measures to be implemented from June 1 until June 15. There are areas that will be under a GCQ while others will be under an MGCQ.
Based on a post of Aksyon Radyo Bacolod, the following areas will be under a GCQ from June 1 to June 15 as announced by Roque:
- Metro Manila
- Pangasinan
- Region 2
- Region 3
- Region 4A
- Region 7
- Cebu City
- Mandaue City
- Zamboanga City
- Davao City
According to the report, the other areas not mentioned by the Presidential Spokesman will be under an MGCQ. Meanwhile, everyone must still be extra careful, wear mask when going outdoors for essential purposes, and observe social distancing always.
