How true is it that KMJS is asking for money?
Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS) is allegedly requiring payment from people who are being featured in the news magazine show on GMA 7.
Hosted by award-winning broadcast journalist Jessica Soho, the show has featured various stories that became trending topics. Over the years, the news magazine show has topped the ratings.
It is popular among viewers from different walks of life and from different generations. At times, the show would feature stories of less fortunate people who are asking help from others for their medications and other concerns.
Sometimes, people would ask for help from the show to find their relatives or parents. However, according to Twitter user @delavega_jade, KMJS is asking for money in return for the help it extends to the public. ‘
The said netizen has this allegation in his Twitter post dated May 20: “Naalala ko si ate qirl na nagpatulong sa KMJS para mahanap anak niya. Need mo palang magbayad pa sa kanila kapag inaksyunan nila. Akala ko sila ang magbabayad sa finiteaure nila, yung nagpatulong pa pala yung magbabayad. Super bet ko KMJS pero medyo ekis sa part na yun.”
This post elicited disappointed also from other netizens. “Ay gnun pala,akala ko cla ang magbabayad kasi madami ang sumusubaybay dun,” a Twitter user commented.
On May 25, the post of that said netizens received a comment from the official Twitter account of KMJS. The Kapuso show clarified that it is not asking any monetary means from those who are being featured in the show.
Additionally, the show stressed that people should report if there is someone using Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho asking for money.
