Megastar daughter KC Concepcion opens up about her medical condition.
KC CONCEPCION – Actress and singer KC Concepcion finally opened up about medical condition that made her gain so much weight.
Body-shamed – tabatsoy, taba, and among other terms. Those were the criticisms KC Concepcion has received ever since people started to notice that she gained weight. Curiosity even grew when she stepped out of the limelight suddenly and to her critics, she became the apple of their eyes.
And now, finally opening up about her weight gain, she revealed that she has this medical condition which made her gain excess pounds. She has PCOS or polycystic ovary syndrome which is a hormonal disorder that affected many women of reproductive age.
According to Mayo Clinic, the signs and symptoms of PCOS could be severe if you are obese. Thus, weight loss and early diagnosis and treatment will decrease chances of having long term complications like type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
“I’m super-super grateful for work. But number one, I wanna be super open about this ‘coz it’s also something I also wanna talk about in the future. I was diagnosed with PCOS, and that caused me to gain so much weight,” she shared according to PEP. This medical condition of her is also the reason why after making the series Ikaw Lamang Book 2 last 2014, she started refusing other projects offered to her.
And now that she is healthier and lost a lot of weight, she is now ready to work again in mainstream show business. She furthered that to serve the people, she needs to look good and feel good as per report.
But during the time when she left show business for a while, she used that to evolve. She started her own jewelry line and launched her YouTube channel.
