#GMAApologize becomes one of the most trending topics on Twitter over alleged inaccurate details about some Kpop stars.

On Tuesday (May 19, 2020), Kapuso show ā€œ24 Oras ā€“ Chika Minuteā€ reported that several Korean entertainment agencies issued a public apology after some of the Kpop idols allegedly went on a night out amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The agencies of Korean artists including Astroā€™s Cha Eun-woo, Seventeenā€™s Mingyu, NCTā€™s Jaehyun, and BTSā€™ Jung Kook released their statements regarding the incident. The agencies also clarified that the Kpop idols have tested negative for the coronavirus disease.

The Korean news agency Soompi reported that the four Korean stars visited a restaurant and two bars in Itaewon last April 25, 2020 evening until dawn. The sudden increase of COVID-19 cases in South Korea allegedly started in Itaewon, according to Kapuso news report.

On Wednesday (May 20, 2020), the netizens on Twitter have criticized GMA over alleged inaccurate information on their report about the Korean stars. Most Filipino netizens expressed their willingness to protect their idols.
