Gate Fee Ticket in Las Piñas Subdivision Elicits Complaints

A subdivision in Las Piñas City requires motorists to pay for the gate fee ticket

Netizens aired their complaints on social media regarding the gate fee ticket that motorists have to pay at BF Resort Village in Las Piñas City.

When the modified enhanced community quarantine was implemented after May 15, people are freer to roam around and run some errands. Some workplaces also went back to their normal operations, somehow.

This condition also means that more people are traveling to and fro unlike during the enhanced community quarantine. Amid the MECQ, this scenario happened at a subdivision in Las Piñas. Several netizens complained about the long queue of motorists who appeared to be delivery guys from various companies.

They were lining up outside BFRV in order to get their gate fee ticket, based on the photo compilation from the Carbrazzer.tv Facebook Page. According to the post, there were netizens who were questioning why these delivery guys have to pay P25.

On the other hand, one noticed that physical distancing is no longer implemented as they were waiting for their turn to pay. Based on the photos, those who are riding on a motorcycle should pay P25 but those who are driving 4-wheeler forward, 6-wheeler closed van, 6-wheeler towing, 4-wheeler dropside/minivan should pay P200.

Aside from the amount that they have to pay, the physical distancing is not implemented anymore, netizens also noticed that the long line caused a traffic jam.

A netizen criticized this act of asking payment from the motorists amid the crisis. “I just realized na totoo yung “Kapwa pinoy pumatay kay bonifacio” kasi parang pinoy laban sa pinoy. Bakit di magtulungan sa oras ng sakuna?” FB user Ace Villarin commented.
