Did Aiko Melendez and Jay Khonghun broke up?
Actress Aiko Melendez broke her silence on rumored breakup with boyfriend Zambales Vice Governor Jay Khonghun.
To recall, rumors about their separation surfaced online when the politician did not greet the actress on Mother’s Day which is unlike what he did in previous years. It was also said that since they haven’t exchanged sweet messages on social media added intensity to the speculations.
In line with this, the Philippine Entertainment Portal tried to reach out to the actress to ask regarding the rumored breakup. However, at first, Aiko did not reply.
On the other hand, a few days after that, the award-winning actress broke her silence through a message sent to his friends in media.
She explained that her silence for a while was to give herself time to think and reflect. Aiko Melendez also said that initially, she thought of doing a Facebook Live to address the speculations. However, she decided to make it a personal statement.
“Every relationship has its highs and lows, VG Jay Khonghun and I are not perfect, it may seem and look like it, but just like any ordinary couple we go through tough times and challenges, too,” she said.
However, the couple chose to stick with each other despite the challenges that they are facing. “But because we choose to stay together and fight for what we have, we are still together till now,” the actress revealed.
Aiko also thanked those who prayed for them and those who sent messages of concern. She said that even though she has not replied to all but she really appreciated them, based on the article.
“You know what they say, ‘Love wins!’ Thanks, guys! Now is the time to be positive in fighting COVID-19 and holding on to something that is special,” Aiko Melendez said.
