Moreover, memes are also used as a double entendre to discuss important topics in a lighthearted manner. This could even be related to Del Pilar’s poem ” ANG AMAIN NAMIN”.
Del Pilar, during his time, wrote a parody of “Our Father” (Ama Namin) to criticize the injustice of some priests towards his fellow countrymen. This could also be seen as one of the Philippine’s earliest “meme”.
