DIMPLES ROMANA – “Daytime Teleserye Queen” Dimples Romana lauds Angel Locsin’s charity work amid COVID-19 pandemic.
Forbes Asia named ‘Darna‘ actress Angel Locsin as a real-life angel for her undying support to various causes. She immediately responds to calamities and disasters in the country. She even distributed her relief goods herself and mingle with the disaster victims.
The actress is among the celebrities who stepped up in helping the frontliners and families affected by the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. She launched a crowdfunding campaign and raised about 11 million pesos.
Angel Locsin said the money will be used to purchase isolation tents to address the overcrowding in hospitals. Her initiative is one of the most remarkable contributions during the crisis in the country.
In a previous article, the prominent actress finally broke her silence on speculations that she’s planning to enter politics. She said she just wants to help and bring entertainment to her countrymen.
“Politics? Hindi talaga. Sobrang hindi. Wala sa utak ko ‘yun,'” she said.
On April 23, Angel Locsin celebrated her 35th birthday. Her best friend Dimple Romana reaffirmed her admiration for the actress and said Angel’s kindness does not choose anyone.
The ‘Kadenang Ginto’ actress wished Angel to have more time to rest. She also shared photos of Angel carrying Alonzo, Dimple’s son.
“Ang nakikita nila ngayon ay lahat ng pagtulong mo para sa napakaraming pamilya… Kung nakita nila lahat ng nakita kong ginawa mo sa iba pang tao, Mas lalo ka pa nilang mamahalin. Pero kasi Ikaw hindi mo iniisip yun eh…”
“Ang gusto mo lang lagi tutulong ka… ang gusto mo yung walang nakakaalam.”
