JINGGOY ESTRADA ECQ VIOLATION – Famous personality and politician Jinggoy Estrada arrested after doing this amid strict ECQ.
In a previous article, San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora said that the mobile market of Jinggoy Estrada’s daughter is illegal for they were not able to apply for business permit. The incumbent mayor furthered that they should have just followed the law so that things won’t be in conflict.
And now, on Sunday, May 3, the former senator Jinggoy Estrada got arrested over apparent violation of an enhanced community quarantine guidelines. Accordingly, he was going around the city amid strict ECQ without being authorized.
His relief efforts was accordingly drawing large crowd which is one of the essential rules strictly implemented in this time of crisis. The gathering of large crowd also violates the physical distancing. Moreover, he did relief operations without coordinating with the local government and without a secured certificate.
“Kung gusto niyang tumulong sa ating mga mamamayan, ayon sa DILG [Departmenf of Interior and Local Government], kailangang kumuha ng certification sa local government,” Zamora said based on the report from ABS-CBN.
Meanwhile, on the same day, Estrada was released at around 8 P.M. with no charges against him and the authorities have only given him a warning. He refuted speculations that he’s giving out money along with his relief goods.
Estrada expressed, “Wala po akong perang ibinibigay. Sinasabi niya mayroon akong perang ipinamimigay. Assuming, assuming totoo ang sinasabi niya, I think there’s nothing wrong [with that]. People are hungry, people have no work. He should understand that.”
