DSWD Refuses To Give Cash Aid of Old Grandpa, Old Man Gets Hospitalized
An old grandpa gets hospitalized after DSWD reportedly refused to his social amelioration cash aid for allegedly having no beneficiary.
A Facebook user named Ompad Leah Caliwan Briones has shared the heartbreaking photos of her grandfather who gets hospitalized after a DSWD personnel allegedly refused to give his cash assistance.
Briones narrated that her grandpa identified as Avelino Caliwan is so excited to get his SAP amelioration fund worth P5,000 since he had no pension. The DSWD started to distribute cash aid to poor families and beneficiaries.
However, one personnel told the grandpa to go home because he could not receive social amelioration cash fund for allegedly having no beneficiary although its wife and child were his beneficiaries.
The disappointed old man goes home and deeply hurt after he failed to receive the financial assistance. On April 27, 2020, he was rushed to the Provincial Hospital of Masbate after suffering from chest pain.
Currently, half of Tatay Avelino’s is paralyzed and can’t move properly after the incident. His family is now seeking help from the public.

5am maagang naligo yung lolo ko.dahil sa subrang saya niya kasi isa siya sa napili nh SAP AMELIRATION FUND.
7am pumunta sa brgy.nmin pero bago po nag bigay ng 5k may sinabi muna o kunting program yung taga DSWD. Nang nag simula na po sa pag bibigay ng ameliration fund pag dating kay lolo may sinabi po sa kanya.. na TAY UWI KA NALANG sabay sulat sa form ng FOR VALIDATION dahil wala raw beneficiary si lolo samntalng may asawa siya…Umuwi yung lolo ko subrang dismaya ..Kahapunan nabalitaan po ni lolo na may señior citizen po na ibingay yung 5k at may dlaga pa.mostly pensioner pero siya hindi ehhh!!masakit para sa kanya dala² niya iyon hanggang pag uwi niya sa bahay..sabi niya na sana di nalang siya nilagay sa payroll kung ganun manlang ang mangyayari..may binigyan na wla din naman binubuhay nila katulad din ng lolo ko.pero xa wala…
6pm inataki po siya dahil lang sa sama ng loob dinibdib niya ang lahat ng iyon.masakit para sa kañya kahit maliit na halaga…
APRIL 27 2020 dinala siya sa PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL OF MASBATE sa ngayon,,,nakamulat at nakapag salita siya kahit kalahati ng katawan niya di na niya kayang igalaw. Pero isa lang ang hinilng niya na sana matulungan siya na ma ereklamo..sa hindi tamang proseso..yun yung hiniling niya at naway po na tulungan niyo po kmi…mabait po yung lolo ko subra🙏🙏
