Customer Gives Free Cake and Big Tip to Grab Food Rider For His Service Amid Bad Weather Condition
A Grab Food rider received a free cake and a big tip from his customer for his delivery service amid the thunderstorm.
Food delivery employees are also considered as frontliner amid the coronavirus outbreak in various countries all around the world. Those workers are enduring the hardships of their jobs just to earn money to provide the necessities of the families.
Many customers are offering extra tips to show their appreciation for delivery employees who were risking their lives amid a health crisis. Riders are also grateful to clients who were appreciating their efforts.
In Malaysia, a Grab Food rider identified as Zulhairi shared his wonderful experience after a generous client give him a huge tip and a free cake for delivery food amid the inclement weather condition.
The unidentified customer ordered a cake from a local shop and Zulhairi accept the booking despite thunderstorms thinking that the client really needs the cake for a celebration. The rider bought the cake but he can’t deliver it yet due to the heavy downpour.
Zulhairi asked his customer to wait a little longer until the rain stops. The client agreed but the rain did not stop even after 45 minutes prompting the rider to brave the rain just to deliver the cake.
The customer gave him a cake with an envelope containing cash to show its appreciation towards the rider. The delivery employer received a tip of RM50 ($12).
“They gave me so much even though the distance between the two places were really close. Maybe it’s because I was really soaking wet from the rain,” Zulhairi said.
