Julia Barretto raised funds for an emergency quarantine facility
Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto shared a video of the turnover ceremony of the emergency quarantine facility in Quezon City.
Julia, together with her sisters Dani and Claudia Barretto, raised funds to establish the said facility in order to help fight against the COVID-19. More than a week ago, the Barretto siblings happily announced that they reached their target amount for the said facility.
They were able to reach P651,952.22 passing their target amount of P600,000. Based on the previous report, half the said amount went to the construction of the facility while the half is intended for the meals and PPEs of frontliners.
In the Instagram post of Julia on April 24, she shared that they already turned over the facility and a blessing ceremony was held also. The actress shared a short video about this.
In the video, Julia Barretto showed glimpses of divided sections for patients, as well as an apparent area dedicated for frontliners where they can take a rest.
The actress is thankful for the team behind the emergency quarantine facility, as well as to her sisters who helped her with this project. “Thank you to everyone who took part on this mission, with your generosity, this was made possible,” she added.
She is also glad to announce that the facility will start its operation on April 25. “Walang sawang pasasalamat sa lahat ng frontliners. (praying hands emoji) Our quarantine has been extended, let’s continue to hold onto each other for strength, light and hope,” the actress said. Netizens lauded the daughter of Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Padilla for this initiative.
