Since the enhanced community quarantine has been implemented by the Philippine government to contain the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), business establishments and companies are forced to shut down as participation to the safety measures.

As a result, many employees were jobless and no source of income amid the health crisis. However, government urges companies to release early 13th month to help the employees.

Recently, many netizens admired what a company boss did after finding his employee’s home in a remote area to provide his unpaid wages and advanced 13th month pay.

According to James Voltaire Carson’s Facebook post, since their company stopped operating due to the lockdown, he no longer saw Noel as a utility worker because he couldn’t pay his remaining wages and his 13th-month pay.

James said that he was worried about Noel because he may not have the ability to travel to get his living wage since he was from a far city and had no cellphone. Because of this, James decided to search Noel’s home.

James uses his Angkas uniform to allow him pass through at border checkpoints. James was overjoyed to see that his employees were in good shape and not able to put a smile on Noel’s face when he met his boss and accepted the remaining pay and his 13th month pay.
