3 Pasig Residents Making Fake IDs to Avail Food Coupon got Arrested
PASIG CITY – three (3) residents in Pasig got arrested after caught making fake student IDs to avail the P400 food coupon for students from public school.
Previously, Pasig City local government have decided to give P400 food coupon to more than 130,000 students from public school. As the government’s assistance to students who are also affected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)
Schools of students who can benefit from the aid are listed on the Pasig Public Information Office Facebook page. Student’s parents can get the food coupon using the child’s school ID, library card, or birth certificate.
Meanwhile, amidst the local government’s actions to help constituents in need there are still inconsiderate people who are taking advantage of the crisis assistance. Three residents from Pasig City were arrested for making fake student IDs to avail the food aid.
According to ABS-CBN News, the suspect admitted accusations and because he feels pity on the parents, he able to do it. The three suspects will face ‘falsification of public documents’ and the use of fake documents.
“May napakulong po kami na gumagawa ng fake I.D. Hindi po kami papayag. Panahon po ng krisis sana ‘wag na po tayong manloko, manlamang sa kapwa natin,” Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto said in an interview.
